This discussion is based after the lesson 5 Basic Elements of Cooperative Learning

Is there any one of the five elements that seems particularly significant to you? If so, why?

Hi, I really enjoyed the lesson on the five basic elements in this group. And lately, I’ve beenparticipating in a conversation about the difference between the way Wikis and Nings work to support people learning from each other in asynchronous conversations. That conversation is going on in a Ning for people who use Ning in education and I’d like to invite anyone who’s interested in that subject here to take a look.

Maybe even participate. Or bring a piece of that conversation over here.

I’ve never tried to cross-pollinate a conversation between two systems like this, but thought maybe this would be useful. If not, nothing lost.

I am experimenting with the use of both Wikis and Nings (and systems like this) to support distributed learning and I’m noticing there are some important differences in the ways that the system architectures support cooperative learning. I’d be really interested to hear others’ thoughts here about this.

I don’t want to “move” you into a different space for the conversation. I’m just interested in using some living data that’s already posted online to enrich this one. Isn’t this a crazy world we’re in now?? The fact that this is even possible is amazing to me… and exciting.
